Hello folks,

I've been trying to find some answers to questions, about Frightenstein and Bill Van. Please feel free to jump in with anything you may know.

* Is the HHOF documentary still being developed? I think I read Stacey Case was working on it.

* What happened to frightenstein.ca, billyvan.ca and billyvan.com?

* There was a mention on this site that Billy Van wrote a biography. Is this not likely to be published?

Lastly, a tougher one. I'm interested in seeing Billy Van's improvisational work. Besides the small amount on YouTube, where could I go to see some of it? Were there particular comedy shows he did more of this, as opposed to say, sketch comedy?

Thanks,

Wayne

I was and still am a big fan of HHoF. HHoF was a show for kids that was cool, far out and at the same time educational. Billy Van at that time was at least 2 classes ahead of other actors his range of acting was limitless , he did in one day 60 skits of "The Librarian" hats off Billy.
I think Billy and HHoF deserve a tribute film even though it would be hard to find someone to replace his acting (perhaps Mike Myers ), however I think it would be a hit and I am sure that alot of people would go and watch it. If we look at Star Trek a show that aired only 3 years with 79 episodes and HHoF with 1 year and 130 episodes there is no doubt that Billy and HHoF should get their fame!

This is just a though, lets hear some feedback thanks!!

Wow, so much has changed on this site! Hopefully the old posts/forums will be available again soon. I loved looking at the pictures of random goods (i.e., lunch pail, retro van, etc.) that had strategically placed HHOF logos and/or characters. At one time, I was a regular poster and visitor to the site. Life got in the way and I was MIA for a while, but I'm happy to be back. Anyway, I just wanted to say, "Hello!" and reconnect with the site. Long live HHOF!

Hi Everyone

This is William Alexander President of CRiTiCAL MASS. The broadcast rights to Frightenstein will end in Canada on Dec 31 2009 and it will not be seen until another broadcaster picks up the broadcast rights. I have been doing everything in my power to get the show back on air beyond the Dec 31, 2009 end date but to no avail.

So I turning to you the fans to see if you can help spark interest in the stations by contacting them to show your support for the show and encourage them to pick up the broadcast rights. Right now many of the stations feel the show as no place on TV anymore has it does not have the appeal it once had. please help to prove them wrong. It is your voice and the voices of the others on the site that might change their minds. I have done what I can so now it is up to you if you still want to see Frightenstein back on the air beyond Dec 31st.

Stations you can direct e-mails to are:

CHCH -TV (where it all started) feedback@chchnews.ca
Teletoon Retro info@teletoon.com
CBC ( go to their contact page to fill out and send located at) www.cbc.ca/contact/
CTV (Specialty stations Space, TV LAnd, MTV) programming@ctv.ca
Corus (YTV and the new owners of Drive In Classics ) info@ytv.com

I gone about as far as I can So I leave it up to you. I hope that you will help keep one of the greatest local Canadian shows on Canadian TV
Also remember that the fans of the show are many from Jim Carrey and Mike Myers to Strombo to John Derringer and Kevin Frankish so you are now alone.

And Thank you for your support thru the years.
