Topic: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

The Hilarious House of Frightenstein: Volume 1, Limited Edition came out today and although I haven't picked it up yet, it does come in a normal-width dvd case and outer cardboard sleeve with nice artwork.  There's a picture of the cover on thecnl.com website.  I have no clue if it's the original 3 dvd set or the Gory, Gory Transylvania set re-released, but it definitely says it includes the original music.  Cheers!

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

I ordered it from Amazon.ca just now (I assume it's the same DVD, it shows a release date of Aug 11, 2009, but no picture). I'll report back when I get it (might take a while - I live in the U.S.). Thanks for the heads-up! smile

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

If i had to guess what the amazon site is listing, i'd say it was the Empire release
with the U.S. half hour edited versions...including laff track.

but im not really sure, they dont give any details about it yet.

the limited edition set on thecnl.com site seems to be the 3disc set,
but with different artwork and 4 more episodes.

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

Can someone post an amazon.ca link? The one on the picture above doesn't seem to work, and I can't find it on any amazon.ca searches. thx

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

bjb,

Here's the page where I ordered from on Amazon.ca:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B002DU3 … oh_product

Again, the Amazon.ca page doesn't show a picture, but does have a release date of Aug 11, 2009, so I'm assuming (I'm hoping) it's the same as the thecnl.com site one. I'm taking a chance buying blindly, but Amazon has never steered me wrong yet! big_smile

The link on the picture above has an extraneous slash "/" at the end. Try this:

https://www.thecnl.com/describe.html?Hi … item=78276

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

I'll find out tomorrow what I ordered! lol DHL tried to deliver it today while I was at work, but required a signature. Amazon.ca must have over-nighted it! Wahoo!

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

Yay! Sorry to beat you to the punch, EzK. It arrived from Amazon.ca and is indeed the same as what thecnl.com pictures. Here's the front cover:

The back cover:

Here are the episodes that are included -

Disc Two Menu:

Disc Three Menu:
Menu 3

Here's an image of the 6 circular magnets (each are 2 inches in diameter):

There's also an advertisement inside for a new 3-Disc set HHOF DVD coming out (no date) of 9 previously unreleased episodes. It features a picture of the Wolfman on the front and is entitled "Welcome to the Grooveyard". lol

Enjoy! Let me know if you need further info. I've got some HHOF to watch!!!

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

Are these unedited original episodes?  I was looking for original, no laugh track, no new inserted music...just the original Wolfman spinning tunes.  Thanks!

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

Indeed they are original episodes - no laugh track - no new inserted music - all running about 44 to 46 minutes in length.

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

Cool...thanks!

Re: Previously released HHOF shows WITH Music on DVD today!

This is indeed good news!

Another thing I like about this is that it says "Volume 1" which implies there will be future volumes of full unedited episodes.

Can anyone explain to me Critical Mass and the control they may have over release of full unedited episodes?

Also, am I correct to assume there is a greater chance that more full unedited episodes can be released in Canada because it seems that copyright laws are tighter in the USA?
