RETURN TO TRANSYLVANIA: A SHORT DOCUMENTARY ABOUT BILLY VAN
A short video “portrait” of Billy Van, star of the Canadian TV show “The Hilarious House of Frightenstein” as well as Party Game, Sonny & Cher, etc, etc, etc.
This was a student project I made when I was 20. Most of it was shot in 1999 and 2000 — early in my second year at Sheridan’s Media Arts course and a seven-minute version was edited at that time. My crew was Eric Yu and Joe Raasch. It was updated in 2005 to improve the quality.
It's wild to me that this portrait is now almost as old as the show was when I first took over the Frightenstein website.
